Brighton & Hove Collects Award
Brighton & Hove Museums’ craft collection is the most important of its kind in the south of England outside of London, and arguably one of the most significant in the country.
We teamed up with Brighton and Hove Museums’ and awarded Nick Barberton for a carved wooden platter and Ark Glass for their exuberant blown glass. Both pieces will now join the craft collection.

Thank you to the exceptional makers and designers who exhibited with us at MADE08. Visitor feedback has been incredible with high praise for the quality and originality of the work.
Thanks too to Coast Magazine for their fantastic support this year and to the magazine editor Clare Gogerty for officially opening the fair at the Private View. It was a fun evening!

Each year we welcome over 5000 visitors to the show who delight at the quality and extensive range of work at an event outside the capital. Many, many of these visitors return every year ready to shop!
We see MADE 08 as the twin event to the very successful Brighton Art Fair. We don't believe that there should be such a gulf between art and craft and want to promote the best in contemporary design and craft from makers and designers across the country.
Set amid the Regency splendour of Brighton's Corn Exchange, MADE 08 showcases affordable craft, design and applied art mostly priced between £20 and £1500. Makers are carefully selected by our committee to create an exciting, diverse and high quality exhibition featuring the best of contemporary craft and design.
Food Solutions Partnership run a cafe where visitors can relax with a drink and a bite to eat and contemplate purchases. Tickets are available on the door at £5 per person (children under 14 go free).
